♻️Greetings in the name of the United Republic of Tanzania!
💉As part of our calendar of key professional activities that impact our field and its practitioners, we recognize the importance of the upcoming International Nurses Day in May 2025. This occasion will also coincide with the TANNA National Elections, where leaders at various levels will be elected.
💉Recognizing the significance of these elections, the Mobile Facilitation Team (MOFATE) has organized an open debate, specifically inviting presidential candidates due to the critical nature of this position. This initiative aims to provide a platform where candidates can engage with nurses within our forums, offering MOFATE family members an opportunity to hear directly from those who aspire to lead the profession.
💉The debate will be conducted virtually in four sessions, with a maximum of 500 participants per session. Each presidential candidate will prepare a PowerPoint presentation covering:
📍Their introduction and background,
📍Leadership experience,
📍Vision and objectives for contesting the position.
💫During the debate, each candidate will present their vision, and the sessions will be recorded as a reference for future review. The debates will be conducted via Google Meet, with the dates and times announced in advance.
♻️Important Guidelines:
📍This will be the only official platform for candidate engagements—campaigns in our forums will not be permitted.
📍Instead, MOFATE will facilitate branding and presentation of the candidates until the debate dates.
📍Each debate session will last for three consecutive days, featuring one candidate per day:
📆March 21, 2025: Mr. Stephen Brown
📆March 22, 2025: Mr. Wilson Fungameza
📆March 23, 2025: Dr. Ezekiel Mbao
⏰The debates will start at exactly 7:00 PM EAT on each respective day.
🎙️The platform will generate video recordings and chat logs, ensuring accessibility for those unable to attend live.
🔴A YouTube live streaming link will also be provided on the debate day, allowing participants to join and engage through written comments, which moderators will read aloud during the sessions.
